So envious of you all! I will be there, in spirit, as alas I have entered the Heyward cave never to return to life as it was before! “Into your life I fall. Into your world I crawl. Under your spell I fall, into your life.”

  9. Ellie on 16th November 2009 at 9:03 pm permalink

I’m in there with you Elissa – must be something about names starting with the letter E – e for envious perhaps…. I prefer enchanted though..

I’m sure the magic cave will make us feel as though we were actually there once everyone has shared their experiences of the night.

Dearest all please take lots of photos. x

In homage I will be gettng myself dressed up on the day (albeit in some vintage ski gear – a 1980’s onesie to wear on the slopes, followed by chunky knitwear for the evening).

I encourage all the overseas cavemen & women to join in the fun & do the same – obviously the choice of costume is yours.

Can I ask for The World please… it’s not so much to ask. :)

oh, wow, you’ll all have a marvellous time – specially those 3 in the front row! And having chatted a lot like this, it will be even more fun! Maybe you can wear your gravatar pictures as ID badges, so that those who aren’t already friends can say Hi!
If i were to dress accordingly to where i have to go, would look a lot different, as Pa-in-Law was born on 18 Dec 1914, so a birthday celebration due there.
Looking forward to hearing about it. You must be working so hard to get it all ready, Nick, thank you for talking to us here as well :)

*sigh* I am geographically challenged so unfortunately I’ll have to miss it. Oh how wonderful it would be to be there. Hope all those who do get to go have a lovely time. a. xo

Brings back memories of my early years of learning the piano with my Beatles book of sheet music. Playing the Beatles was sweet relief after 2 hrs of classical practise every day. The book is still around today and extremely tattered! Definitely a treasure.

Nick, I read somewhere that you are not musically trained? Is this true? If so, I am not worthy! You are truely a gifted musician. I have always been in awe of artists such as yourself. And envious too. (there’s that E again!)

When people ask me what sort of music I like I can never pinpoint one artist, band or genre, it’s always particular songs. The music has to move me. Yours does and so I thank you for the music!

Oh you answered my question that I posed in the Cave.. sorry :/ I was always a bit slow.. but then lagging behind has its benifits…
    :)

  31. Nick on 18th November 2009 at 5:11 pm permalink

Any kind of lagging is warm and cosy; for lofty ambition Confucius says righteous determination will very much inspire others.

Oh Nick thems there are big words… eek!
But warm and cosy and ambitious I understand and I am, so I must be good lagging…?
I am inspried by people around me.. in fact I think my next painitng witll be called ‘happiness in the chirstmas concert cave’….how can I shorten that?

Happiness is a butterfly which, when pursued,
is always just beyond your grasp,
but if you sit down quietly,
    may alight upon you.

It wasn’t Confucius but a lovely quote all the same. I actually thought of little Rosehip just now and how he came to you Nick. Hope he is doing well.

Happy day to all my fellow Happy Cave dwellers! :) )
