I’m all for new beginnings…
What type did you go for? It’s always a hard choice & one to live with for a whole year of course.
Thanks for the message :~)
Surely an opportunity has been missed here, for a new Haircut 100 calender to go with the mug!
This year was Romance of Steam: http://www.nspccshop.co.uk/acatalog/Romnce_of_Steam_Calendar.html
Next year is a National Geographic Earth Friendly “Tigers” calendar: http://shop.nationalgeographic.com/ngs/browse/productDetail.jsp;jsessionid=2B212BC6A372249AF46DC31C2DAE8297?productId=1074805TI
What’s yours?
This year has been a Violent Veg, nothing yet for 2010!
Never too late for a a a a new beginning Sue. A 2011 one is to be done for you!
I nearly got the Cat Yoga one, hilarious!
The Guinea Pig one looked very good…
Roll on 2011 then! Looks odd that “2011″ doesn’t seem like a real date. Like the “19’s” myself!!
4 a’s? Your keyboard may have developed a stutter.
The 4 a’s are Haircut 100. Either that or I’ve slipped on the butter again…
I’ve made my own for next year using some of my better photographs, the ones I sell, although was tempted by the guinea pig one and the birds of Britain. Mum thought I might be swayed by a Colin Firth, but I stuck to my guns and went with mine
So looking forward to a new year ahead…..new friends, new adventures. My calendar was beautiful scenes of Canada this year. Not sure about next year but you’ve reminded me I need to get one too. Your own calendar sounds wonderful Reikijay.
Nice idea.
Had my first Christmas party last night…..the festivities have begun! Another tomorrow night and Friday as well! This egg will be well ‘nogged’ by Sunday!
I have the Violent Veg one as well Sue. I find Clive’s Cats rather funny (based in Cornwall), with words of wisdom such as ‘never keep sea in your pocket’ and ‘never eat a hole’:)

‘But I don’t work” Absolute classic!

Next year – next step – next wave for the Oyster Catcher of Rye. Why oh why? Lemon fire brigade, why? Cleopatra, back atcha!
Good for you Reikijay. A home made man is a much better one than a leading man one. I find calendars can be great visualization boards too…
That’s exactly what I thought. I wanted it to be something that was pleasing to look at, that conjured up a sense of time and place. More of a piece of art rather than something that gets hidden on the back of the door. It was well worth the effort I think.
..strain the peas in mine..OH! c A lender
Any brilliant New Year’s resolutions?
….oh and the usual….be happy, be loving to all in my life, spend more time with my family (if that’s physically possible because we already live in each other’s pockets!), work hard and play hard, be healthy!
Mine is to do less projecting
I haven’t had a calendar for a few years now; no wall space left in this place. It might be hard to believe that there isn’t a place to hang one but there isn’t. But that is where the diary comes in, full of lovely country scenes. Got it back in October, as I do each year. In fact my heart beats a little faster when going in to get it because the pictures are always so beautiful. There does seem a bit of a discrepancy between the pictures and what is written next to them though e.g. paid the electricity bill today, when it feels like you should be writing something like:I wended my way along a winding path and came upon a glorious show of wild roses.
Mr B surprises me every Christmas with a calender made up of pictures of my boys
Made by Boots.
They’re lovely.
Nick – you could get a calender made up of your favourite photos. For your own personal use
Bought my bro-in-law the ‘Nuns having fun’ calender a few years back – that was hiliarious !
Calendar calendar calendar….
Spelt it wrong three times above.
Apologies
Got your shopping done Helen?
“I wended my way along a winding path and came upon a glorious show of wild roses.”
And took a deep breath of freshly made air as I dug into a pocket full of bulging blue tea cozys?
I prefer your line Tan… (laughs and thinks, oh another tea perhaps?)
Pam, I’m heeding your advice already…
Where’s Mr B tonight? Out head banging? Maybe we should just both get it over and done with and go to the next Quo concert….? Nothing wrong with a couple of guys getting down down deeper and down to the geezers is there mr B?! I promise I would bring him back safely Mrs B.
Scenes of canada… fantastic!
It’s raining here again… how funny.
Nick how is it funny that it’s raining? I didn’t find it funny in Truro yesterday when I was wet through with bags of shopping. although I did probably look highly hilarious with my green hood up and water dipping off my nose. OK now I have a chuckle.
Got some shopping done Elissa… I fear I’ve left it too late.
Mr B ? He’s upstairs strumming I do believe… let me go see
Strumming long to Quo. From the Rockin’ All Over the World Album. The first proper LP I bought.
You & me Nick, heads-down, no-nonsense boogie. Anytime.
ha !!!
Fools and horses on uk gold little problems with the driscoll brothers when del gets one of their phones up his hooter , genius
I think I prefer my line too
. But perhaps a compromise: I wended my way along a winding path and came upon a glorious show of blue tea cosies and realised, by chance, that I had stumbled upon a Blue Tea Party. The teapots, cups and tableclothes were all blue, too. But the mood of the tea drinkers wasn’t as they tucked into blue-iced cakes and enjoyed their tea poured into blue cups from the blue-cosied teapots and discussed if the colour should be pink next month.
Well, anything would be more interesting than writing “Send in $2.00 for school swimming ”
“send in two pound for school swimming” Asking what you want for your baked potato filling? Served on a blue plate of course. Maybe a pink cup for lady luck!
Mr B, fancy coming up on stage for a boogie next time I do the Angel of The North? With the Status Quotes! Just blokes getting down man…
Was gonna see the quo in Oxford in November but the gig was cancelleded due to illness gutted, gonna see the bootleg beatles there in the spring fab

In work for 2009 I had the Chuck Norris calendar on my desk, mainly because it was silly and made me and many of my co-workers laugh. For 2010 I am sure my co- workers would appreciate another silly calendar for the work place so that’s what I’ll do again (laughing/giggling co-workers are good things!) Not sure what I will choose for home. 2009 was a year of many changes so I am looking for something hopeful, vibrant, that shouts out ‘joy and love’ as I turn the page each month… a tall order perhaps? Maybe so. Hopefully though I can find one…Wish me luck. Much love, a. xo
Stella rocking out too.
I’m off – night all
I can just about do the right hand for lady madonna but the left hand is freaking me out
