Thank you for sharing more than your music with us tonight. we were blown away by the evening and you. I nearly nicked your set list but chickened out, just wanted to see if you had stuck to it, kinda doubted you did! Come back to Windsor soon x

What a great way to spend an evening, thank you again Nick.
Good to meet some new friends and put some faces to names – the orange roses were inspired! And I’m very glad to find out I don’t have to miss Cookham so hopefully some more of us can meet then…
Especially those who could not make it tonight (Elissa, LoneH & Tex – I was thinking of you uppermost being overseas).
When I could not make it to Cadogan Hall I was desperate to see pics or clips so knowing how I felt I took my trusty camera avec moi.
Have just finished loading a set of photos from the Firestation gig onto flickr so just click on my name & you should be there.
Was saving my photo limit for just this occasion – comments in photos may interest you. Would love to hear your comments too.
Am uploading video snippets taken on my camera too and the sound is not half bad considering it was done on a camera so will post the youtube link here after sleeping & dreaming of the most excellent night I had. All this social media is still so new, you guys were the first experience of this. Am now on twitter, flickr, facebook & youtube – oh my!
Anna-Marie it was fab to sit next to you and share the night, wish I’d got you to take pic on mobile as the one on flickr is rubbish!!! As Nick mentioned, am having a regret … but I’ll get over it … actually just have!
Nick – thanks muchly for your generosity of spirit & the time you openly & freely gave to us on stage & off.
Making hard copy of pics & vids & will get it to you somehow.
Take that situation is running round my head now … you took a situation & made it fly xxx
10 clips of the gig are now available on you tube. Best way to get all ten to come on screen at once is to search on ‘Nick Heyward, AuntieRacquel’
Quality OK, not brilliant at being able to focus in & out they were done on camera & it was not an intention to video until I thought about it at the time & have not had experience blah blah forgive me blah blah not good enough blah nervously blah rubbish stuff blah apologetic blah
However they are a good memory of the evening & the voice of the artist that is Nicholas comes through well – (thanks Ollie too)
5 more will be posted tomorrow as can ‘only’ upload ten a day
And of course click on Racquel above & you will see the pictures that tell at least 10 words too …
Yeah the man did GOOD.It was almost as if he’d planned it(Nick?! )
I’ve had Take that Situation in my head all night. It was the song that took me by suprise.
Quelle domage the best two are not on there as I was being transported by their beauty – Opening song about a flower opening & Kite – with most excellent strong accompanying vocals by Anthony on the ivories.

Hi Racquel, Lovely to spend time with you and Marcus last night. Your photos and video are spectacular – how lucky are we to be able to hard copy our memories? And fortunately the mic hasn’t picked up me singing along! There will be other opportunities for your picture, don’t worry. Can’t find you on FB tho…?
I’m with Helen on the post box and also like the frosted leaves. I’ll try to upload some of my pics but my photography skills are not up to your standard! xx
Helen, if Nick plays the Firestation again you have to come down, it was an excellent venue and a great night. xx
they were taken with love & shared with love & am so glad they were received with love …
just been through the photos a second time myself & corrected typos & added (cheekily) to comments as I remembered other little events. Also learnt to turn the order round so that they run in chronological order.
Well if a decent turnout happens at Cookham we’ll be looking at pictures of us with Haircut 100 in the spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!! squeal !!!!!!!
I realised that it was probably good I didn’t go to Cadogan as I would’ve exploded (messily! there’s a lot of this mind, body organism!) with excitement given my ecstatic nature when recognising the first words of Love Plus One – I nearly squeezed Anna-Marie’s arm off.
So as I said to Nick last night, I arrived a Haircut 100 fan & left a Nick Heyward fan.
****** Bravo Nicholas for shining your bright beautiful light *****
How nice to see you!
I have decided we are going to be great friends. Hope you don’t mind. ; )
Incredible photos. Just incredible…
Love how you started off with ‘Did we remember to put the cat out?’ Hysterical. Loved your camellia out front, buds and all. And your gardener husband. Looks like just the wonderful gentleman you described. So glad you were able to go. And thank you so very VERY much for thinking of me and all of us that couldn’t be there in person but were very much in spirit.
Racquel. Lovely to meet both you and Anna-Marie last night! It was a wonderful night and thankyou for helping me sort out my jitters. X I didn’t video as much as you and my quality is rubbish compared to yours but I do have Kite so will put that on you-tube later but having major computer issues at the moment!! Thanks again. x

Racquel your photos are lovely. Nick looks like a good sort and so do you . You must have been in a good spot. Your enthusiasm and happiness in what you were doing comes across in your comments and titles on the photos. I haven’t left any comments for you there as yet because I didn’t sign in there, or youtube, last night. My computer was being such a goose that it took a lot of the night to look at the photos. Funny about your husband missing out on his snack. Might get to signing in there later on today.
I watched a couple of the videos last night -will look forward to getting to them all gradually (dial up). The first 30 secs you captured of that Who song is as pretty a thing as I’ve ever heard. Well I guess that comment should be directed at Nick -the first part of that is nothing short of an aural delight. Nothing wrong with the rest of it by any means but that part that Racquel started recording at sounds very beautiful. It is the type of song that if I were only to hear only that snippet on the radio I would track it down and buy it.
The last song I did that with was Finally Over Blue by the McClymonts, a while back now. This version of it hasn’t loaded for me yet so I don’t know how it stacks up compared to the album one. The only other one out there is some sort of remixed thing. I heard the very last part of the song on the radio once and bought the album on the strength of that
totally agree about the Who song loneH – It so BEAUTIFUL Nick – well done.
Thanks for the thanks 2. All of it was to share the experience – Nick – hope you don’t feel like I hijacked your site! All done with the purest of intentions to promote your good self.
LoneH – I didn’t want to record the whole of the songs for legal reasons & that people might take advantage of them with bootlegging etc. & having not heard many of them started when & where it felt right & of course when not taking pics or notes – or handing the man a banana!.
We bought the mermaid & the lighthouse cd on the night & enjoyed it immensely – the couple of songs he played on the night from it were much better versions & Nick’s voice was so clear & strong at the gig & had an added timbre that we’ve been left wanting.
So dear Nick – put out an album SOON … please. Keep it simple with your (new & improved) voice taking the fore. A recollection?
Dear Mel – it was good to meet you too – hope you will publish Kite soon, would love to hear it again. Glad you didn’t die of fright! would’ve felt terrible then
LoneH – I remember when I bought an album on the basis of one song heard on the radio & it was the only slow love song on a collection of hard rock songs! aaarghhh …
