What a loverly romantic place, so peaceful, easy to imagine walking along with the wind in your hair blowing softly, the sounds of the crickets clicking away, the owls in the trees hooting at anything that moves always on the lookout for its next meal, waving & chatting to passers by…..reminds me of the country town I grew up in, so small in population yet so big in love & understanding.

hope yuz had a great night in Windsor Nick?

We’re all good here, golfing and skiing today. Great recreation.

It doesn’t matter if we’re mediocre at either…. the clothing is nice and the thought is there.

The environment is wholesome and it keeps us out of trouble ;o)

I understand this post entirely too – result !!

Trees are very dark though – but i guess they need to be to show up the lights.

It’s February already. Blimey. One month closer to May…

A walk along the river sounds very nice and soothing. I think I might go for one in my head when I go off to bed in a minute. Feel a bit anxious about something I have to do tomorrow that’s not so good so it’s off for a walk to calm the nerves. The twinkles on the water can be the white light required.

Elissa, must say that Valentines Day gives me the pip, it really does :) . Years ago a friend and I both had a crush on the same boy. We made cards for him and went into the school foyer and snuck them into the school roll. Imagine the poor boy’s shame come roll call time when the teacher would have handed them to him. My friend had put perfume on hers and kissed it with lipstick on and had written SWALK on the back of it and all. Dear me :)

Enjoy the rest of your day, you folk on the other side of the world.

  9. Elissa on 1st February 2010 at 1:48 pm permalink

Hope a good sleep clears your head for your day tomorrw T. Though we have never met your words display a strong person. I am sure you will see the light. :)

Although I had crushes….many…I never really did anything about it. I strongly believe that if it’s meant to be, it will be. I’m not into Val Day either but a lot of people are and I also believe in the saying ‘what ever makes your boat float’! So who won the boy over in the end? You or your friend?

    Nite :) x

    Late bird here …

Interesting seeing the views on life – thanks – food 4 thought
(Nick – the Hungarian one was the same as Californian – was that intended?)

Tex (dear friend Tracy :-) ) – how do you find them? ZBD – LOVEly

Our view on life can be coloured by our ‘mind & thoughts’ – wear green glasses everything looks green – cannot see red, blue etc

Perspective is everything – view with love, one can only see Love. I’m working on purifying my thoughts so that the only glasses I look through is love specs.

I know I spent too much time looking & being caught up on/in the view on/of the outside and neglecting the inner view within.

For the first time … tonight …(Truly – I just love the synchronicity of life) after much letting go … & gentle therapy … am looking at the view within … with LOVE!!!! & NO judgement.

Never had a problem looking at others with love, just on myself. Guess we all can be most hard on ourselves. Wishing you all view yourselves & the world with love. x

PS Mel – totally LOVED the talk talk link – thanks – great how the reconnections happen. I loved all of their songs & have recently been listening to ‘It’s my life’ every day (dealing with authority issues!) … had never watched the vid until recently on you tube – it’s sooo cool & simple … look forward to hearing your Kite vid clip.

..I was judged yet again the other night.. sometimes words and looks are mis-read and toooooo much reading between the eyes goes on….
Live and let live is an art… hard to keep it up for 24 for hours at a time…. (seeeee haha) my guard runith over… Love and let them love you back…thats what I say…. Helen!! That George Clooooney.. he should have married me!

  33. Racquel on 2nd February 2010 at 1:39 am permalink

Yes Mel, having just listened to the Talk Talk link you gave – twice again -think I will be listening to this every day for a while now …

    profound & yet simple lyrics

included a few lines here for general perusal

life’s what you make it – can’t escape it.

    Ev’rything’s alright – life’s what you make it -
    ev’rything’s alright.

life’s what you make it – don’t backdate it.
don’t try to shade it – beauty is naked.

life’s what you make it – celebrate it

    anticipate it – yesterday’s faded.
Nothing can change it – life’s what you make it.
Ev’rything’s alright – life’s what you make it.
    Ev’rything’s alright – ev’rything’s alright.

Heartfelt thanks Mel – & of course Nick for being the ‘medium’

Got into TalkTalk after the void of H100 splitting & now back into them again after reconnection of H100 … the circle of life eh?

    dear zbd

Could it be the judge in you, that’s judging others, that makes you think they are judging you, when really it is a reflection/projection of you judging yourself?

That in fact is about the jist of ‘judge not lest ye be judged’
talking from a higher reality that we are all One.

hmmm lot of judging going on whichever way! Give it up! I dare you ;-)

I’m sure George would’ve married you if he’d met you – tho your partner now might be a little miffed!

  35. zbd on 2nd February 2010 at 11:08 am permalink

Oh My Gawd… here we are again…
    about ME, Me me…
I do not judge… My refelection has no smuges..We are what we decide to be I am NOT a victim and I choose to be happy not sad..but if I choose to be unhappy and not joyous at each day then that would be MY choice and I would not blame others.. I believe Crying is as good for you as laughing at times, its an emotion that should be allowed out to be free.. I do not pity myself – I have so much to be greatful for ~ I am like the ray of light that pokes through on a cloudy day.. I AM human and so, as I have said before, all the course/healing/books/therapy/blogs/words/ etc in the world will not take that out of me .. YES folks all is well in my world and I dont have to chant it.. ALL is well in my world cos I choose it to be… I like being me I like the like quirky things that make me and I wouldnt want to be anyone eles :)
I am not a trouble maker, or a woman over a certain age looking for the love of an unattainable man (apart from George Clooney!) I am not an attention seeker or a person that just flew over a cuckoo’s nest….. I am me and very happy to be that! :)

SO please take what I write with the joy it was written… :)

Elissa, to answer your question, we didn’t sign our names to the cards :D . He would never known that either of us had a crush on him. Neither of us won him. But he won us -without a word! Haha. He was a lanky, gangly, shy sort of creature. Different from the loud, rowdy boys. You’re not into Val Day? You mean to say that there’s a Val Doonican Day??? ;) What? It’s on his birthday? Wait a minute – that’s tomorrow! I’m not joking; it really is tomorrow. Wait a minute – in fact it’s today -it’s the 3rd already. I say: Forget Valentine’s Day and let’s have Val Day instead! Val Day isn’t a snobby day! It doesn’t exclude people who are on their own! All you have to do is wear a jumper and you’re on your way! No spending money at the florist or on tacky cards that could never possibly say what you’d what them to say.

Mel – love that song. Have it on an eighties compilation and Love Plus One is on it as well, with the song being credited to Nick Heywood. I think I would be put out if someone put my name incorrectly on a cassette cover.

Sylv – it was just a walk in my head I was taking while in bed last night. I needed something that would help so ended up visualising myself taking a walk along the river where I grew up and seeing the light sparkling on the water. Then I got in and took that light into my body and imagined it coursing through my veins as a combination of white light and colloidal silver and told myself that with every beat of my heart throughout the night it would continue to course through and help with healing something. Fluke or not, but this morning pain level had decreased by quite a bit. I would like to have been able to say that the problem had disappeared completely and that I could have avoided a procedure that I had done today but we can’t always have everything :) . But at least there’s always the imagination.

Racquel – it’s so true what you’ve said about that we can be the hardest on ourselves. If others said things about us that we say about ourselves sometimes we would have nothing to do with them. One of the most difficult things I’ve done in life was to look myself in the eye in the mirror and say I love you. It was upsetting. If anyone is reading this who has never done that exercise it is certainly worthwhile giving it a go. Being able to say that is the beginning of being a real person.

Oh ramble ramble. Must go to bed.

Perfect for Val AND Valentine’s Day

And another thing. Am I possibly the only woman in the world who doesn’t fancy George Clooney?

I think that must be George Clooney’s motto – with his penchant for cling-wrapping toilet seats and so on :) . He has a real twinkle in his eye, there’s life in his face. Like Sean Connery, he gets better as he gets older. And you’ve got to respect a man who had a pet pig. But, like Anna-Marie, I don’t fancy him :) . I think Gregory Peck was fanciable. Oooh, Cary Grant as well. Charleton Heston as he was in Ben Hur -thought he was a bit of alright.
