Then there’s Human Beings like John, the local postman who takes mentally ill adults for nature walks on the weekend. So, remind me again, who is mentally ill?
Lovely tranquil morning today. Nearly got a photo of the Kingfisher as he stood just outside the window… Such a straight flyer, goes off easy as a baby town cryer…

It’s a weird world sometimes. My cousin Chris does a similar thing. She takes mentally ill teenagers on away weekends quite regularly. She gets a great sense of achievement helping them to enjoy themselves.
It is indeed a lovely day outside. Good wishes to you Nicholas. x
I watched The Hurt Locker with Graham on Sunday night to see what the fuss was about. The thought that either of my sons might go to war is absolutely terrifying. I can’t begin to imagine what the parents of soldiers who have been killed and indeed soldiers who are serving must go through. The film moved me, but not in the same way that Saving Private Ryan did. The heartbraking opening scene will forever stay in my mind.
Here’s a story my dad told me years ago, and it always takes me aback.
a guy was on the London underground with his 4 young children and they were running riot and all the passengers were tutting and signing
eventually a woman takes the guy to task and says “excuse me why dont you control your children they are making every ones journey hell” the guy was sat in his seat with his head in his hands , he looked up with tears streaming down his face and said i am so sorry my wife died of cancer 1 hour ago and we have just been to see her in the chapel of rest , the woman reeled back and said she was so sorry.
the moral of the story is, a persons actions are because of things that we do not know about, every one has the same hopes and dreams and happiness and sadness, life is too short to be negative , before you know it you will be 85 years old sat staring out of the window waiting for your children to call you who you havent heard from for 4 months, here endeth todays lesson , have a great day guys ,
Live each day as if it could be your last, never regret anything you did with a good heart. Make at least one person smile every day of your life and tell everyone you love, that you love them, every time you see them. Apart from that, enjoy the ride where ever it takes you and never judge a book by its cover. x
So true Gary. I have often said on here (and on Fb) that you can’t make assumptions about a person’s behaviour or opinions without being in possession of the facts. That is why I would never tell anyone what they should be doing or try to inflict whatever beliefs I may or may not have onto them.
I’d like to think that my ear is always available to bend if anyone felt the need to talk however.
Bye
Whether they blow each other up in real life or on film it’s all about the $, isn’t it. Would there be war if there was no money in it? Perhaps next there’ll be a movie called Human Beings about John, the local postman, who takes mentally ill adults for walks on the weekend? Though perhaps it wouldn’t be a big money spinner. I would certainly buy it when it was an ex-rental, though. I read a good quote lately and wish I could remember it -it was to the effect that it isn’t healthy to adjust or adapt to a sick world. Might see if I can find it because it’s a good one.
Hurt Locker is about the senselessness of war and Killing..
..they kill so we kill, we kill so they kill…
Soho afteer 2am is like a war zone.. different kind of war but its where normal people turn mental..
think positive things ~ send postivie thoughts dont be selfish ~ dont want more than you need give and receive with a smile love and dont hate.. dont pity just CARE

There is one Oscar who did make some sense…………
So so true Mr H , Alas we never here about the ‘Johns’ of this world .. but I think we probably all know one …
We do hear about the Johns, there are lots of awards and things written.. its just all remember is the bad stuff.. Human beings love a drama!

Couldn’t find it, more’s the pity. Have been reading a lot of quotes just now there are some real beauties out there. But this one very much took my fancy in light of that FB update about the little boy karate chopping his shadow that I put in the comments yesterday
Be kind to your shadow. ~Rebecca Lawless
.. I cant see all the Youtube stuff you guys are putting up.. but then I have imagination and I like to imagine what they might be about… tex, you last one.. I think its a bout a purple and pink kite floating to freedom up into the sky out of the clutches of a green goblin with horns!

sorry nothing to do with the discussion
You should paint that, zbd
Another found thing:
Just be ordinary and nothing special. Eat your food, move your bowels, pass water, and when you’re tired, go and lie down. The ignorant will laugh at me, but the wise will understand. ~Bruce Lee
And now it’s time for bed.
Actually, Deb, it was Andrew Ridgely and George Michael’s, Ray of Sunshine video of them playing soccer in China. Same difference in some cultures, I guess. ; )
So you really know how to tap dance? Dang, gurl…
Oh! You mean this OTHER video! It’s a black and white video of a bunch of British teens jumping a fence, enjoying a day out with a little band that really bangs it out. Btw, I’m sitting in the back of the class today, babe, mentally gathering acorns of rock and roll to save my mortal soul.
; )
I’m over in the art block…
can you paint me a painting please?
Art block?
Draw us all something nice! I’d like an impression of how we all look to you.
You want me to paint you a painting of me gathering mental acorns of rock and roll? Oh wait. You were talking to Nick.
Darn, I was getting all excited…
No no go ahead Tex, why not? Be very interesting.. !
Okay, then. Here’s it is. Rocks glass in hand…

It’s all about perception.

Sorry Oscar…

I loved woodwork! candle stick holders a go go in my house oh and pottery! to feel that cold but warm clay between my fingers as it went round and round YUMMY
Thank you Deb !

Helen says its cos I am passionate that I cried.. I like passion… so now I can smile again… I dont like getting angry and crying with anger so now when I feel that feelling I am going to exchange it for the feeling passion and then I will smile…
thank you aunty

That’s ok Deb. I think it’s fantastic that you confronted the person in question about their behaviour and made your feelings known.
Whether or not it makes a difference remains to be seen. That’s the trouble with bullies. I think you were absolutely right to do it.
Master chef yum yum
is that a same as a doughnut but with out the jam Gary??
Unless a bully is a Physical threat they are like an old thimble in a tiny biscuit tin at the back of the garage. I’ve watched bullies disappear completely from people’s lives the more Spiritual they became. There wasn’t anyone there for the bully to bully anymore. The chain was broken. They will need to look for some body else to latch onto. Someone compatible. A bully finds it unbearable to be around a fully conscious human being, as they are on their own. And nobully likes being put in the tiny biscuit tin at the back of the garage… But happy thimbles love it!
Btw, Zbd and Gary and all, how do you guys type on an ipod touch? letters fly all over the place!
My Robert has an iTouch – he sneaks it to bed with him. I think the key is practice practice practice.
I’ve bullied a doughnut once… he was ruining it for all the happy thimbles! But i’ve since seen that it took away my strawberry bit in the middle, so I pulled into the garage of real love for repair…
Like mother like son, ey Aunty H? While the cats down stairs the mice will play games upstairs!
Oh that was lovely
Not the last bit – the bit before – about the sauce in the garage
Yes, the mice are minxes in my house !
While in the garage of real love i came across a sewing kit. Wow! It has everything one needs for tweeds….
i bet they adore their mother dear and cant wait till their father gets, until their father gets, until their father gets home!

I used a sewing kit today at work. Kindly loaned to me by a colleague. The buckle on my boots was making my skirt fall apart.
I misplaced a signed Haircut 100 photograph in my garage last year. I’m devastated. Nothing a good clear out wouldn’t sort
I thought ‘Wait till Your Father gets Home’ was something completely different. What was I thinking of ?
Let me have a think. There was a man with darl rimmed glasses. Elaine Stritch may or may not have been in it…
I migth have been thinking of this – but he doesn’t wear dark rimmed glasses.

(might)
i was definitely thinking of that program when the lyrics for Kite flew onto the page…
Really ?
I like interesting snippets like that.
Do you remember Big John Little John ?
What a way to grow.
was listening to that yesterday, you are so clever..
This? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6m7×9GDxwY
Yes !!! That’s it !
I have mixed feelings about that show. I ‘borrowed’ half a tub of my gran’s Oil of Ulay (as it was called in those days) and it caused my face to swell so much that I looked like a cross between Little John and Pugsly from the Adams Family.
