Arrh , many watery descriptions but no Canal
Maybe , just maybe , Ted Rosefelt his Panama Hat was out of place
Nice shading
Many sewage canals to the right Andrew. They have a set of tunnels that lead to the river, just where I took the photo of it a few photos ago. That water better be clean… Father Ted is on the lookout for clean and natural water with all the minerals in place. That’s the stuff he wants to drink. Not plastic bottled water with nothing in and plastic bits, or tap water with fluoride… he would just like some good and honest water round here! (light chuckle)
Until then, I will carry on drinking glass bottled water and visiting the Chiltern hills with a beaker and flask. There’s a war on you know? And it’s with our own species. I jest, but you know, I may visit the Chilterns… A kind person in a local shop yesterday informed me that they are doing some investigation into the local water, and they will keep me informed of the outcome, or rather ‘out-pour’.
Love the words. They made me smile. Enjoy your journey
Thank you kind lady. Enjoy yours too. And may we all enjoy our journeys!
Thank you.
The Chilterns – ‘The Venice of the Western Home Counties’
A lovely , sometimes bypassed part of our great shores – not too far from my bolthole to the east
Tartan flasks , tartan rugs – remind me of picnics in days gone by when there were no wars
Lunch ..enjoy
You mean, before the human race began Andrew? (light chortling holding a watercress sandwich in a gingham servy)
The pic reminds me of Fern Britain and Philip Slowfield
Dancing on eyes
Odd bod… (hefty laughter with a sausage roll falling back onto the plate)
I’m so excited when I imagine where the road leads from there to.
In the middle of the road, It seem to meet with a small forest animals and plants and various insects
I am prepared Hiro… Got some food and supplies and plenty of fresh water!
Planning to camp out under the stars tonight ?
Supplies seem well stocked for a long sortie
Not tonight Joe… (limp laughter holding a protein packed Cherry Bakewell slice)
An adventure holiday at some though, definitely! Are you off anywhere nice?
Guilty as charged Sir Nick
Talking about that, I was stopped by the Police last night for drinking battery acid
they are going to charge me in the morning
Very strong Gary, very strong…
and the next day the police caught me tied to a catherine wheel
but luckily ………………….they let me off
I’d love to be walking on that path at this moment, but am on a different sort of journey at the moment. I visited my local health food store yesterday, and was surprised at the vast array of bottled water, all packaged in plastic, including a favorite of mine that is flavored with cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom…sigh…enjoy your day Nick, it seems as though you enjoy every one of them.
Arrh the sounds of the school bell ringing for the final time are approaching … Six weeks of non stop activities and then some camping towards the end of the hols over in the land of Orange Shirts , Yellow bulbs and Red Rinded cheese
Possible camping sortie to The Isis region – over in your neck o the woods direction sort of …And get totally depressed about nothing at all really hello……
Some tight humour on display Gary
Many thanks Andrew , I have Jimmy Cricket and Frank Carson on speed dial. theres more , its a cracker etc etc
reminds me of the pathway of life-you never know where its going to lead you as the rays of sunshine dance on the leaves on the trees. wish i was walking down this path right now-
Reminds me of Burnham Beeches
enjoy your journey.
I like Willie Carson and French Cricket
The Comedians was a 70s ‘laugh fest’
Hmmm
I like Little Willy (he won’t go home) and French toast
my son & i walked many (very) uphill pathways on our journey in the Alps. Walked so far up that we felt safe to drink the icy cold water rushing down through rocks & waterfalls from snow.
Totally ‘Wow!’ Never wanted to come back down!
reminds me of the pathway of life-you never know where its going to lead you.
i would love to be walking somewhere like that now-watching the sun bouncing off the leaves-so calming-so tranquil
