Abandon this ship? Not on your nelly! I love this vessel, but I may need to get a crew to run it when I’m below deck and up in the crows nest, etc etc. Squiddly Diddly

Good to hear all is ship shape Captain Nick. It would be a shame to let the barnacles grow ;-)

I was always very fond of the version of Rain you used to perform live at the same time as part of the Beatles medley.

I love that Richard E. Grant used the word perambulating in this book of his I’m reading (that word is personal favourite).

Big infuenza on the Monday To Sunday LP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJKt-DhII_4 I purposely didn’t listen to these records prior to recording the album, but just held them to my heart in a precious memory box for their magic to lift and separate the seven seas of power pop.

    Good day guys,

Another lovely day recording with Mr Poliver. Aka Oliver Heyward. We’re working on a nice and staxy song called Jupiter. Think i’ve played the best guitar of my life on it. Jonesy’s playing is bang on the Zoot Money! We weave together nicely like tiny spring birds through vast budding bushes. Blair makes it all so groovy, and Les digs deep with that trowel man!

THE ‘Jupiter’? Don’t let us distract you then….F.A.B.

      What way is that?

    • sue on 14th October 2011 at 6:02 pm permalink

Ahh – not a Harry Hill fan then?

  24. Nick on 14th October 2011 at 7:35 pm permalink

I am yeah, but not as big as you as I haven’t a clue what you mean! So, what’s Harry’s way then?

    • Mel on 14th October 2011 at 7:58 pm permalink

      FIGHT!!!

    • sue on 14th October 2011 at 8:23 pm permalink

You need to watch Tv Burp Nick and the way he links to the ad break. He always says he likes/loves something but which is better? There’s only one way to find out – fight.
I wish I hadn’t started this now ;-) I do like Harry – got to love a man with big collars!!!

  25. Nick on 15th October 2011 at 5:06 pm permalink

That TV Burp is fun, but that You’ve Been Framed is erm…. not. I’d rather watch people having the opposite of accidents. Bit of a fan of Extreme Sports. I love this other Danny. Danny MacAskill.

I agree, although the animal clips are good. I hadn’t heard of this Danny – certainly a talented rider. He looks a well balanced character :-)

Hee! I bought From Monday to Sunday (only) recently and it’s the car album of the moment! So many favourites on there, but “Something Inside” is just delicious- it’s so natural and peaceful and layer-y! Re Harry Hill: has anyone noticed an unnerving similarity between him and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall? All that hair- it’s got to be one of Harry’s wigs…! (There’s only one way to find out…!!!)

Great stuff. Funny, a friend of mine posted the Beatles version to my facebook page today. :-)

Nick , your music is greatly loved. Would you ever record “Windmills of Your Mind” ?
or a famous European Jewish song that is so lovely “L’Ma’An Achai” ?
Both have a certain lovely quality with many possibilities for classical arrangements and or jazz influences etc …

  29. David on 31st October 2011 at 12:07 am permalink

Nick, I love your music… Please consider recording with Alison Moyet as her voice is so wonderful and works well with yours….
