The Clearing

Last night’s view (10.8.10). This was the colour of the sky as it settled down for the night. This morning it began with a little whistle through the window and a cycle ride through the local streets. All very normal I thought, but by lunchtime the sink area needed clearing up and although i’ve cleaned the dishes many times before, today has left the silver sink sparkling. Who needs diamonds when you have a clean wash basin? Why It’s worth its weight in golden taps…

A lake to the left and the sewage works to the right. Where does it go from here? Straight ahead, over the railway tracks, down to the river that leadeth to the sea that takes one over the oceans that bringeth one back home again. And so begins the journey with one step, two step, tickly under here.

One thing leads to another. Everything connected. Why ever knot. Untied and drifting. Cast out to sea. Beautiful music and beautiful words. All wings. All silver tipped and sipped from the elixir of life.
