Favourite days are sunny days – rare as rice pudding here in the UK – but appreciated like precious jewels. I know sunshine’s on the inside (as Denholm Elliott’s Mr Emerson pounds into his chest with a fork in A Room With A View). It’s easy to say from the land of the sunflowers, but the older I get, the more I know where snowbirds are coming from and where they’re going to. The sunshine! The lovely sunshine. Ahhhhh. The warmth, the fragrance and the amount of work it produces. Who wouldn’t love such a thing and follow such a thing and worship such a thing? Every-thing is here because of it, with a little help from the other elements (obviously). But anyway, back to the sun. Wow. Love it. I can see why it’s so popular – it’s very orange and so hot! Isn’t it great? Rice pudding. Rice pudding. Rice pudding!
