Monday Morning – listened to the new song that began the end of last week. The first line could be stronger, so re-did it. Going to try singing a fifth harmony all the way through. Was going to stay away from singing backing vocals, but at least now it will show whoever sings it the idea. My plan is to record all the songs written since 1998 to a finished vocal and guitar/ piano structure. Then they are ready for action. Solid gold easy action. Action stations – out to all constellations!

On January 28th 2011 one of Britain’s iconic new wave bands from the 1980’s will reform for a special one off show to perform their debut album ‘Pelican West’ in full. The album, which reached #2 in the UK charts was one of the first digital recordings in the UK.
Four of the original band members, Nick Heyward, Graham Jones, Leslie Nemes and Blair Cunningham will reunite for this special performance at London’s superb indig02 venue The band will recreate their trademark funk-pop sound with the performance of the entire Pelican West album, which includes the top 10 hits ‘Favourite Shirt (Boy Meet’s Girl)’, ‘Fantastic Day’ and ‘ Love Plus One’.
With support from THE QUOTES, plus special guest DJ MARC JONES (BBC6 Music).
Tickets are available from Ticketmaster. Standard tickets are £25.00. There will also be a limited number of special VIP tickets at £49.50 each, which will include access to the pre show sound check and a special after show party in the Indigo2’s Purple Lounge.
